Speculative Title Sequence
Hard Boiled Wonderland

A speculative title sequence inspired by Haruki Murakami’s Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, one of my favorite novels. The end result is a sequence that doesn’t explain the story directly but instead mirrors the novel’s mood.

This project uses stock footage, recontextualizing it through custom grading, textures, and overlays to build a layered, surreal atmosphere. The aim was to capture the tension between logic and dream that runs throughout the novel.
